Datum Datacentres builds out new data centre offerings

Datum Datacentres today announced that they are extending their service portfolio with a range of new products to further support their clients and deliver additional value from the data centre engagement.

The new services being launched across the year build on Datum’s reputation for client focus and support to cover Connectivity, Transition and Migration, Break Fix and Workplace Recovery. From the outset, Datum’s data centre offering has included an enhanced service wrapper to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. The new offerings are designed to assist clients in deriving maximum benefit from the relationship.

As Dominic Phillips, Datum’s Managing Director, explains: “Over the last year, we have observed trends in client requests and across the data centre market that have prompted us to extend our service offering with these four new products. Our focus as a co-location provider remains clearly on supporting our enterprise and service provider clients with a secure and resilient data centre service on which they can rely. We are keen not to step outside this core remit but to strengthen the offering where clients request a little more help as part of their engagement. Our new services will take away some of the headaches that project teams and other third parties currently manage, enabling clients to have a one-stop go-to person for everything co-lo related.”

  • Datum Connectivity Services provide clients with resilient links at any bandwidth across the UK and to Europe and the USA, establishing required connectivity between client racks and their sites, other data centres, the internet and cloud platforms.
  • Datum Concierge Plus is a bespoke, fully managed service to support clients throughout the transition and migration phase. Includes a dedicated account team and technical project manager to manage every element from concept through to deployment.
  • Datum Break-Fix Services provide multivendor break-fix support for client equipment installed in the data centre and including a blended support option for both in and out of warranty support for a complete product lifecycle service.
  • Datum Workplace Recovery Services can form part of the Business Continuity Plan through the provision of Office Recovery locations throughout the UK should an incident or event mean that clients’ own office facilities are unavailable.

For more information about any of these services, the Datum team can be reached on 0845 568 0123 or by email to info@datum.co.uk.
