When companies entrust their business-critical IT to a service provider, they want to be sure they’re dealing with someone who is fully focused on the task at hand.
However, one thing we’ve learned from listening to our customers over the past year is that they’d appreciate a little extra help in some areas that are closely related to our core colocation service.
We recently announced that we’re now fulfilling this need with a host of new services. One of these is a comprehensive Connectivity Service that will enable you to connect between other data centres, your sites, and to the internet and cloud platforms. To help answer questions you may have on what this means, here are the key facts on connectivity you need to know:
- We’re using a dedicated fibre network that links core sites around the UK. This includes the latest Optical Transport Network (OTN) switching, so you can be sure our service supports the most demanding requirements.
- We’re working with many industry-leading suppliers such as BT, Virgin, Level3, Vodafone, SSE, Zayo and Interoute. This means you can choose a wide range of resilient links at any bandwidth across the UK and to Europe and the USA.
- You’ve got plenty of other options, including fibre-optic services such as Dark Fibre and Optical Wavelengths, as well as traditional Leased Lines, MPLS, Wireless and Ethernet.
- There are also many interface solutions available, such as IP Transit, Cross Connects and Global Connectivity.
Something we’re really proud of at Datum is that we’ve always delivered our data centre offerings with enhanced service to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. This new connectivity service will be delivered in exactly the same way: with the service and customer care you’ve come to expect.
If you want to take the hassle out of finding a separate provider for connectivity, why not contact us today to find out more. And if you want to find out more about the other services we’ve launched recently, you can read more here.
