Farnborough – 23 August 2016 – Datum Datacentres today announced that Ian Mace has joined the company as Data Centre Site Co-ordinator to further ensure the smooth running of Datum’s secure and resilient facility in Farnborough. Ian brings a wealth of experience having spent the last 24 years with Vodafone where he was responsible for data centre selection, data centre operation, infrastructure and project delivery in various roles across the organisation.
As Datum continues to grow, Ian will co-ordinate operations and infrastructure projects to ensure the Farnborough facility and all supporting services deliver on the Datum promise to clients. Ian comments: “I am looking forward to working with the Datum team who have demonstrated a truly strong client-service ethic. The facility itself stands out above the crowd, using leading-edge technology and best practices and I am excited to be part of its future.”
Ian will report to Liam Mitchell, Data Centre Manager, who adds: “Ian’s experience and knowledge will be invaluable as we further develop. We continuously strive to grow and perfect our processes to best serve our clients’ needs and to deliver a different kind of co-location service. Ian will be pivotal in ensuring that we remain ahead of the field.”
