The Wirehive 100 Awards, which celebrate the outstanding creative and technical talent on offer within digital agencies in the South West, are taking place next week. Entries have been received in 18 categories including everything from ‘best use of emerging technologies’ and ‘not for profit site of the year’ to ‘digital transformation’. Five digital agencies have been shortlisted for the digital transformation award on the night and, because Datum is a proven platform for digital transformation, and has supported numerous clients with their transformation projects, we are thrilled to be sponsoring this category at the awards.
Digital transformation – what’s it all about?
Corporate IT is under pressure from all areas to transform operations and deliver more agile solutions to meet competitive forces and to achieve key business objectives, so many companies are embracing digital transformation. Currently, the majority of IT transactions are delivered through on-premise infrastructures, but technological advances and market pressures mean that this is unlikely to be sustainable. Therefore, more and more companies are looking for new hybrid delivery models – transitioning parts of their IT set-up to public or private clouds whilst locating other (often sensitive) elements in a managed data centre or colocation facility. Datum’s two-phase approach to transformation and optimisation offers a staging post for the physical transition and a core component of the final hybrid IT strategy, and our flexible contracts allow our customers to flex their IT infrastructure up or down based on their changing requirements.
Anyway, back to the awards ...
The finalists in the digital transformation category of the Wirehive 100 Awards have all demonstrated impressive commitment to digital transformation, not only by changing their internal processes, but by focusing on improving customer experience, product delivery and employee mindset. Good luck to everyone on the night!
