The client
A UK business-critical IT managed service provider needed to commission a new data centre facility to enhance its services portfolio and enable it to offer a broader range of business critical IT services. The organisation provides client-centric modular, scalable, agile and secure platforms that deliver the availability, performance, security and reliability required by its mid-market clients.
The challenge
As their existing data centres were reaching capacity, the client needed to provision a new data centre to support its ambitious strategic growth plans. The challenge was to find a suitable location, with the capability to customise the data centre facilities to match the precise needs of its growing client base and strategic partners.
The solution
Datum's data centre facility met the company's own exacting standards and requirements, with the latest Green IT efficiencies and all of the security, power, cooling, fire protection and carrier-neutral connectivity demanded for its highly resilient enterprise class managed services.
The new data centre provides their clients with managed hosting, cloud services and co-location facilities to complement and extend the capacity available within its three existing UK data centres; providing a regional location for primary and secondary data centre requirements.
We are delighted to have the opportunity to create a purpose-built data centre from the ground up that will allow us to provision an extensive range of infrastructure, technology and services, to meet the needs of existing and new clients, and our partners.
