Business continuity

The client

A specialist in providing recovery solutions to ensure business continuity to companies in both public and private sectors. Their range of services to protect clients’ businesses include IT disaster recovery, business continuity, replication and back-up solutions, including consultancy, ship to site, mobile recovery and office recovery suites.

The challenge

Established in 1994, the company has built a strong reputation delivering rapid, reliable and repeatable business recovery to an ever-increasing client base. In line with technology changes and client demands, it had extended its portfolio to embrace a new range of fully managed IT and cloud solutions, which required a new approach to data centre provision.

The new solutions demanded an additional data centre which would provide security, resilience and connectivity to support assured delivery to their clients.

The solution

Datum’s carrier and cloud neutral facility is located on the government-grade secure Cody Technology Park. The combination of highly secure location, resilient infrastructure and enterprise class service management is further supported by an SLA based on 100% uptime.

Datum both delivers what our clients’ businesses demand and provides us with the capacity and stability to support our future growth. During negotiations with Datum, we were not only impressed by the facility, we also recognised that we had found a partner who would work with us as we build on our new solutions. Datum’s FRN offers us enhanced security and resilience in both communications and power in an environmentally efficient facility in a great location.

Datum’s approach to working with clients is also a key ingredient to the success of the partnership. As the client's Managing Director explained:

Good partnerships are based on the strength of the working relationship that is established. Some of the key reasons that we contract with Datum are that we have found Datum to be flexible, supportive and easy to deal with. Such attributes are not that easy to find but are key to a successful, long term partnership.
