That future is here with plans underway to expand and build a second data centre.

To accommodate anticipated growth, Datum’s modular facility was designed to incorporate the latest and most effective technology available at each stage of the build. Today, our main hall delivers 2MW of power with a further floor offering 2MW currently available, something that could be of particular interest for a business looking for a ready-to-go custom build.
The appeal to clients of the existing data centre being in a List X park is extremely strong and is often a key factor in initially shortlisting Datum. With the time ripe for a more significant growth step, a new data centre, the decision was made to continue our expansion on the same highly secure, government-grade site. The new state of the art facility currently in planning will be link-detached to the existing data halls.
In order to continue to deliver the high standards for which Datum is known, the facility has been designed to Tier III resilience, and comprises 2 new data halls for 600 racks, each to accommodate up to 1000kW with a per rack power density of 3.3kW.
