Case study

Cloud and Professional Services Provider

Leading provider of information technology solutions and services, with a history of supporting industry sectors at the forefront of technology development, such as Oil & Gas, Broadcasting, Government, Education, Life Sciences and more.

The challenge

The company continuously seek innovative ways to deliver long term value for their clients. As more clients were looking to increase corporate agility whilst seeking at the same time moving where possible costs from CapEx to OpEx, they developed an increased range of Cloud-based solutions and services including Cloud Disaster Recovery, Cloud Backup and Cloud Network Attached Storage.

When their latest release of Cloud services were in development, the company recognised the need for a new colocation data centre provider that could enable them to provide a next generation data centre service to their clients.

The Solution

With the growing importance of Cloud and the broadening reach of their core solutions, connectivity and availability were non-negotiable to ensure they could deliver a robust reliable service.

Transitioning to Datum’s leading-edge facility enabled them to confidently add significant new solutions, knowing that the infrastructure and connectivity so critical to their delivery is fully supported.

The partnership with Datum has given them the platform from which they can offer their clients flexible deployment options that can be tailored to suit business requirements.

Security and availability were always going to be key and after a full evaluation of the shortlist, Datum stood out as the clear choice, due in no small part to its Government-grade secure park location and extremely resilient 2N infrastructure.  Datum’s focus on us as a client is also fully apparent and the helpfulness and attitude of the whole team has been exemplary, making our initial migration very smooth.
